Steelstring Guitars: Trinity Guitars / Gallagher Guitars Custom OM Photos

Exciting News From Jim Holler

I’m pleased to share with you news of an exciting partnership that will enable Trinity Guitars to offer hand-made steel-string guitars that match our celebrated classical guitars in quality, innovation and style. Through an agreement worked out with Gallagher Guitars of Wartrace, Tennessee, Trinity Guitars has begin offering steel-string instruments built to the individual specifications. The actual set of tone woods used in each guitar will is hand selected by the Jim Holler, who will also specify the instrument’s design features.

I will personally select and prepare the woods, and collaborate with Stephen Gallagher on the design and specifications for each guitar. These materials will be shipped to Tennessee with detailed instructions for the guitar design. Gallagher Guitars will take it from there; constructing each instrument with the attention to detail that has characterized its guitars since that family business was founded more than four decades ago.

I’ve been exploring ideas for launching a steel-string product line for many years, but until now, haven’t been able to come up with an approach that would ensure they would reflect the quality of my classical guitars without straining the modest capacity of my Western New York shop. Now, I can happily tell those folks who have played the few steel-string guitars I’ve built for family, friends and myself ... and encouraged me to build them for a wider audience ... that our shared dream has become a reality.

Stay tuned to the Trinity Guitars website for progress reports. As always, feel free to write or call me with questions.
