Consignment Sales
Receiving your new Guitar.
Weather plays an important part in the safe transit of your new guitar. Please follow these guidelines. You are responsible for proper care of the guitar once it is delivered. Neither Trinity Guitars, the manufacture or builder nor the shipper can be held responsible for damage resulting from improper handling after the guitar is delivered and before it is opened. We follow the manufactures guidelines on weather related shipping restrictions. 1) Cold weather delivery. Shipping in the cold will not by itself cause damage to the guitar. Thermal shock will. Do not open the guitar up when it is cold. Damage is likely to occur from thermal shock and from water condensation of water on the guitars inside and out side surfaces. Allow the box to acclimate to room temperature. This can take up to 24 hours in extreme cold! Typical damage would be cracking of the wood, finish cracking, warping of the wood, protruding fret ends and effects on the playability of the neck. 2) Hot weather delivery. The box must be protected from the sun and from enclosed areas exposed to the sun such as a car. Permanent damage is likely to result from exposure to high temperature. Cracking of the wood, loosening of glue joints and warping of the wood and effects on playability are typical damages.

Layaway and Reserving a guitar and Special Order and Custom guitars
The Trinity Guitars layaway program allows our customers to place an item on hold for 30 days. The customer can place a instrument on layaway by place a minimum of a non refundable 25% down payment on the item and pay the balance within 30 days. Once the complete balance is paid in full Trinity Guitars will ship the instrument or the customer can visit the studio to pick up their instrument. The layaway program is for in stock instruments only. During the Layaway time the instrument will be removed from display and stored in its case in our controlled humidity environment. ALL DOWN PAYMENTS ARE NONREFUNDABLE AND NONTRANSFERABLE. All deposits placed on special orders and/or layaways are non refundable. Instruments purchased on the Layaway program are not eligible for return under our return policy.

Return Policy
I understand the challenges of purchasing a guitar without having the opportunity to play it first. At Trinity Guitars we are dedicated to helping you thought this process with detailed email and phone conversations about your guitar needs. We want to help you select the correct guitar for you playing style, sound desires and budget. Please take advantage of engaging in dialog about the guitars.

All guitars are personally set up and inspected to insure that the guitar is in top condition when it leaves the studio. With such care in the selection and preparation process the success rate is very high, few guitars ever make the trip back to the Trinity Guitars studio. Even with careful selection there may arise a need to return a guitar. Any new item (other than items noted below) may be returned within 48 hours after purchase for a full refund of the purchase price minus shipping costs and refurbishing costs. Your responsibility is to do so in 48 Hours from delivery, return it in new condition, and pay for the return insured shipping. The guitar is in your custody and is your property and reasonability until it is back at Trinity Guitars in new condition. In New condition is when I open the guitar back at the studio. Custom order, special order and guitars that you have Trinity Guitars or some other party make modifications to can not be returned for a refund. Guitars that have been modified by Trinity Guitars at the customers request that can be returned to 100% original condition may be returned. The cost of the modification is not refundable. The determination of the return on a modified product is solely that of Trinity Guitars. A fee will be assessed for the cost to return the guitar to its original state.

Shipping and/or handling charges are not refundable. It is your responsibility to pay return shipping and to fully insure the unit(s) you are returning. Also, it is your responsibility to cover shipping charges for sending the item to you. If you are quoted free shipping and return the item, you will be required to cover the actual shipping costs incurred by your order. Items that are returned must be in the original packaging, with all accessories and paperwork included in the original shipment, such as owner's manual(s) and warranty card. Items must be new and free from all signs of use or wear including pick marks on the guard and finish of the top, The warranty card and manual(s) must not have any writing in them. If your order was shipped to you in outer packaging it must be returned in that packaging as well as the inner box or boxes. Returned items that do not arrive in the condition described above are subject to a 10% restocking fee, plus the cost of replacing missing, soiled, worn or marked-on items. Obvious signs of use that reduce the value of a returned unit will be subject to additional charges based on repair costs and mark down needed to sell the instrument.

Charges made to a credit card will be refunded, less freight, handling and any reconditioning charges, to the same credit card only. Payments made by check will be refunded with a check after sufficient time has passed for your original check to completely clear through the banking system.

Return policy does not apply to purchases made in the Trinity Guitars studio or purchases made in person at a shop or festival. You will have the opportunity to play and inspect the instrument at the time of the purchase.

To return an instrument, the customer must first contact Trinity Guitars to tell us that you are intending to return the instrument. The instrument must then be packed up in its original carton, with all accessories and paperwork included in the original shipment and shipped via a common carrier to us with full insurance. Remember, you are now the responsible party of the package and are taking full responsibility for the item in case of damage or loss. If the item is damaged while in transit, we will notify you, but you must file a claim with your preferred shipper. Once the item is back and we have determined it to be in its original condition, we will issue the appropriate credit, less shipping charges. If the item is not in its original condition, or is returned after the normal evaluation period has expired, restocking fees and other charges may apply at Trinity Guitars discretion.

Returns must be authorized before being shipped back. Any unauthorized returns if accepted will be charged a 20% restocking fee. This includes returned sent back after the 48 hour approval period has expired. Do not use packing peanuts inside the case or in the box. A $25 fee will be assessed for any returns containing packing peanuts.

Return policy does not extend to used and consignment and to international orders.

Trade in Policy:

We do accept trade in instruments for application to the purchase of a new or used instrument. We endeavor to offer the best price that we can on trade ins. If offered to us in in person at the studio we will complete an evaluation for price and value with you. If the trade in is to be shipped a preliminary evaluation will be made based on you detailed description of the condition and photos that are emailed to Trinity Guitars. Once we have the instrument in our hands we will confirm the trade in value. If there are discrepancies in the condition a new vale will be offered. If for any reason the trade in instrument must be returned the owner must pay the return shipping costs.
